In 1997 Vincent Morelle launched together with Maryline Lefor a first space dedicated to Argentinian Tango: l’Argonne – a mythical place in the history of tango in Belgium. Dancers came all over from Europe and the Argentians on their way through Europe passed by and stayed a while; the milongas and endless night echoed far beyond the ocean.

"The n° 35 of the "Rue de l'Argonne" was a

very famous place of the tango lovers (also

internationally) a couple of years ago. So

after have been closed for a while, tango

came back in its temple on two occasions.

Hopefully will there be other occasions in

the near future because the special atmosphere

is still present... even if the old furnitures and

decoration that gave so much charm to the place are

not there anymore! ​

Tu enseignes le Tango argentin depuis combien de temps ?

Depuis 2001. En fait j’ai commencé à donner des cours peu de temps après que j’aie commencé à danser, d’abord en assurant les cours de Vincent à l’Argonne en Belgique (lieu mythique du Tango en Europe aujourd’hui).

​Quels ont été tes maîtres ? Que t’ont-ils apporté ? Comment s’est passé ton apprentissage ?
Je ne peux pas vraiment dire que j’ai eu des maîtres ; je me suis formé au fil des rencontres. Je voyageais déjà en Europe quand je me suis intéressé réellement au Tango: au début à Londres, ensuite à Bruxelles où j’ai fait la connaissance de Vincent Morelle qui m’a ouvert les portes d’un Tango plein d’expression, libre, et nous formions un véritable groupe d’amis.
