                  Vincent and Maryline

Dancers
Teachers
Choreographers of  Argentine Tango

The dancecouple Vincent Morelle and Maryline Lefor  are legendary in the history of Argentine tango in Belgium and Europe.
"Magnetic presence, creativity, musicality, improvisation with complete abandon... inspiring...” are the words most often used to describe them.
Vincent and Maryline have been working together since 1997
.
She was trained as a classical dancer, he as a gymnast.
She started tango when it first came to Belgium in the early 90s, he a little later. From their very first steps, they both developed an all-consuming passion for this dance and have travelled thousands of miles to meet teachers and other dancers in search of inspiration.
They very quickly

devoted themselves

to this discipline.

Drawing inspiration

from the most

traditional to the

most experimental

of influences and

trends, they

created their own

synthesis and have

distinguished themselves on the international

scene of Argentine tango for their very

personal and unique style...

They are an extreme dance couple, they love to alternate amplitude, breadth and space with intimacy, slowness and silence; moving from calm to explosion... abandoning themselves to improvisation and listening to each other both play key roles in their work.
London, Paris, Zurich, Amsterdam, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Bologna, Palermo, Barcelona, Moscow... They have contributed to tango in Europe by accepting the many invitations to give lessons and master classes in most of the cities where this discipline has developed; training many current professionals and participating in festivals and performances or accompanying orchestras during concerts...
In 1997, they created “l'Argonne”, a culture centre in Brussels devoted to tango which has kept its mythical position in the memories of many dancers, thereby providing ample opportunities for international tanguera encounters.
In 2005, they participated as dancers/choreographers in the creation of the  opérita by Astor Piazzolla “Maria de Buenos Aires”, directed by Lorent Wanson, with the Musique Nouvelle orchestra and produced by the Manège de Mons. This show was performed on the great national stages of Belgium (Théatre National de Bruxelles, Théâtre Royal de Mons, Théâtre de la place de Liège, etc.).
In 2006, they opened another spot in Brussels in collaboration of François Pettiaux, the “Cellule 133a”, still going today.

In 2011, Maryline took part in “Errances en Retour” as dancer/choreographer. The show  was produced by the French Company “Le regard se pose” and directed by Jérémy Braitbart.

Vincent on his side was devoting his time to writing “Terra Tango”, a show mixing tango and aerian dance. "Terra Tango" was produced by the Gent festival van Vlaanderen and performed in the "Capitole" in Gent. Vincent was directing it and was dancing in it with Maryline and 6 other dancers, accompanied by the orchestra Soltango.

In 2013, Vincent opens his third space dedicated to Tango in Brussels, "La Nouvelle Argonne", in collaboration with Isaline Claeys, and the support of Marcelle Morelle, Xavier Delay and Maryline. But it was only short in time, it had to close rapidly to let the place at

"Argonne III".

"Vincent is explosive, he loves chaos, often losing himself in the infinitely big; Maryline inspires this explosiveness, moulds it, often becoming absorbed by the infinitely small... Here lies the balance between the two... They are connected by invisible threads and they are carried away in spellbinding dance, in free fall..."
